KIM DALLAS DALE

On February 1, 2017, Kim Dallas Dale, 63, joined His Lord and Savior. Celebration of life service was held on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Vining Community Church in Jet. Military honors were conducted by the United States Marine Corps.

Kim Dallas Dale was born on January 5, 1954, to Dallas (Tex) Dale and Nellie Corrilla (Ames) Dale, in Cherokee Oklahoma, and raised on the family farm north of the Salt Plains Lake. Kim graduated from Jet-Nash in 1972, enlisting the same year in the Marine Corps.

Kim married Keitha Ann Stiffler on July 3, 1975, in Nash. They moved to Garden Grove California until 1976, when Kim’s active service ended, then returned home, where Kim had a job waiting for him at the Jet Co-op. In 1980, Kim used the G.I. Bill to enroll in college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and obtained his bachelor of arts degree. Kim worked in various fields before coming to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (Byron Fish Hatchery) in 1994, retiring in 2009.

On September 13, 1988, Kim and Keitha were blessed with the birth of their son Logan Phillip. He also retired as fire chief from the Nescatunga Rural Fire Department, and volunteered with Salt Plains Refuge and Byron Hatchery Watchable Wildlife Area.

Kim was a founding member of the Salt Fork Craftsman Blacksmithing Club. Ken Marshall introduced Kim to scratch building replica models during his first fight with cancer. In 2004, Kim started building a 1/92nd replica of the battleship USS Oklahoma that he presented to the Alfalfa County Courthouse in 2007 in celebration of Oklahoma’s Centennial where you can still see it today! At the time of Kim’s death, he was a board member of Vining Community Church and Nescatunga Rural Fire Department. Kim loved GOD, COUNTRY, FAMILY, COMMUNITY and the Sand Hills where he grew up.

He is survived by his wife Keitha of the home; son Logan and family of York, Alabama; brother Larry and Doris Dale of Haysville, Kansas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Kim has been reunited in Heaven with his parents, Dallas (Tex) and Nellie Dale, and brothers Neal, Bob and Dick.
