DALLAS – Harding women's tennis opened its spring season in perfect fashion Saturday with a 9-0 victory over NCAA Division III opponent McMurry at the Bent Tree Country Club.
Harding (1-0) lost only six games in sweeping the doubles and won all six singles matches in straight sets.
The Lady Bisons will play again Sunday against Collin College in McKinney, Texas.
Notes: Piper Huey's singles victory was the 53rd of her career, tying her with Benyapa Phumtip (2010-14) and Chelsea Lanier (2009-13) for 17th in Harding history … Arielle Butler earned singles victory No. 45 and is 22nd in career victories at Harding.
