Alabama man charged with bogus check

An Alabama man was been charged with a felony in Woods County. David Cameron Holmes, 29, of Ozark, Alabama, has been charged with obtaining cash and merchandise by bogus check.

According to court papers, Holmes is charged in connection with a purchase made at K & S Tire, Inc. in Alva on Jan. 18, 2016. He is accused of writing a check for $875.30 to K & S that subsequently was not honored by Community South Credit Union because Holmes did not have sufficient funds on deposit. A warrant was issued on Oct. 24.
