Open Class Foods for the Woods County Free Fair

The Open Class Foods Division has some items for you to make for the Woods County Free Fair running Sept. 8, 9 and 10. Jellies, preserves, jams, fruit butters, chili sauce or catsup, picante sauce, brownies, cheese bread, and sliced, crispy sweet pickles have all been continued as entries. Entry procedures are the same this year.

There is a special division for junior bakers -- Junior Food Preparation -- who are 14 years of age and under. These different classes, found on page 45 of the fair book, are open for their participation: no bake cookies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal cookies, Rice Krispie cookies, cupcakes, muffins, two crust pie, fudge (with nuts), fudge (no nuts), peanut butter fudge (not chocolate), divinity and peanut brittle.

Exhibitors should stop by the OSU Extension Center for a copy of the fair book with the guidelines.
