    In an effort to make the payroll system more accurate, efficient and cost effective, the Alva city departments have been working to implement the Nextep system. In the past, some departments depended on employees writing down their hours while others used timekeeping programs. This system is set up for everyone to clock in and out via computer.     The Alva City Council will consider changing the medical marijuana ordinance during the regular meeting Monday. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. After voting on approval of minutes and claims, the council will hear brief reports from earlier meetings of city boards and commissions.
