The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word (Hebrews 1:3a). Last week, we looked at a very Pauline claim (that Jesus was the reason for creation and the glue that holds all things together). This week, we encounter an idea that seems much closer to the Apostle John. Not only does the gospel writer introduce Jesus as the pre-existing creator, he also describes Jesus as the word become flesh (John 1:14). The i...

The Ford Mustang was conceived to appeal to women. Launched in April 1964, it was based on the Ford Falcon economy car chassis with the first-year sales targeted to reach 100,000. It sold 400,000 the first year and coined the term “pony car” while other manufacturers played catch-up until 1968 when the Camaro came on-line. The Mustang, named after the P-51 fighter plane of World War II fame, has now evolved through six generations and while Ford has no intention of “putting the pony out to pa...

This also cut down on chances for the Goldbugs to score on free...
ATLANTA (AP) — A familiar face was missing as the coaches gathered Thursday at the College Football Hall of Fame to discuss the upcoming playoff. So was a guy who was supposed to be there. For the first time since the playoff started in 2014, Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide won't be a part of it. Losses to LSU and Auburn finished off its chances of a sixth straight postseason appearance. "They pack us in this little glass room for about 30 minutes before this," Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley said. "To walk in there and not see him was c...

Bogdanovic made a 3-pointer with 13.4 seconds remaining and the Kings overcame an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Thunder 94-93 on Wednesday night. It was the second time in three...
