    An Alva woman has been charged with a felony after a search of her residence. Shannon Katherine McDaniel, 38, of Alva, has been charged with possession of a firearm after former felony conviction. This crime is punishable by imprisonment for one to ten years. McDaniel is also facing two misdemeanor charges: possession of controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.     An additional charge was filed on Nov. 16 against an Alva man after the results of OSBI (Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation) lab tests were received. On Aug. 30, Michael Lawrence Baldwin, 62, of Alva, was charged with two counts of trafficking in illegal drugs (methamphetamine) and one count of maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances.     The runway lights at the Alva Regional Airport are out again, presenting a safety issue for aircraft. The lack of lights means no air ambulance fixed-wing aircraft can make landings for medical transport after dark. There’s also a financial impact, preventing travelers from landing at night to buy fuel.
