Freedom Public Schools will host a book fair in the Freedom Library Sept. 17–20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be extended hours on Sept. 20 to accommodate the parent-teacher conferences held until 9 p.m. The goal is to sell over $700. TULSA, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma man already serving life in prison on a murder charge has been sentenced to an additional 20 years of punishment for running a drug ring from behind bars. Court records show 36-year-old Slint Kenneth Tate was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Tulsa after pleading guilty in June to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas Food Bank officials say an expanded Wichita warehouse will allow the organization to provide 1 million more meals across the state.
