    SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist's Sydney Lawrence earned the initial Great American Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for 2018, the league announced Wednesday. Lawrence won the UCO Land Run on the course that will serve as the venue for the 2018 GAC Championships. She finished in a time of 18:33.7.     WEWOKA, Okla. (AP) — A Seminole County jury has convicted a man on two counts of first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of two people in Seminole. Court records show 25-year-old Kadetrix Grayson was convicted Tuesday of killing 30-year-old Summer Gokey and 26-year-old Joseph Bounds. The jury recommended a sentence of life in prison.     ANDOVER, Kan. (AP) — Fire officials say a 65-year-old man who was pulled from a house fire in Andover has died. Andover Fire and Rescue Chief Chad Russell said in a news release the man was rescued from a home in Andover Tuesday night but died Wednesday. Another person inside the home was able to escape.
