    Cherokee police were called to an altercation involving a father and son Thursday, June 13. The son, Larry Bryce Harris Jr., 44, of Cherokee, was charged with a felony and three misdemeanors. He is accused of throwing a large chunk of concrete at his father and verbally threatening his sister. Harris has been charged with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (the concrete chunk), a felony.     Barber County has two community gardens this summer. Both of these are available to anybody to harvest produce. In total, 5600 square feet have been dedicated to these gardens. In Kiowa, the garden is in the second block south of Main Street on 9th. This lot is owned by Kiowa District Healthcare. Jones is wanted by Alfalfa County on charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and domestic abuse – prior pattern of physical abuse.     Saturday at 4 a.m., Kiowa man Nathan Lambert, 29, had a single vehicle wreck that landed him and his pickup in the flooded Little Mule Creek along K2 Highway two miles west of Kiowa.
