    Northwestern Oklahoma State University students leave the university with the knowledge to succeed in a particular field. In their final semester, 22 senior education students have entered area schools to gain hands-on experience through student teaching.     On Dec. 29, 2015, Woods County District Court granted an emergency order of protection filed by Donna M. Hodgson of Freedom against Robert “Bob” Levi Seivert of Freedom. Throughout 2016 that order was amended three times to continue the protective order. On Jan. 30, 2017, the protective order was dismissed with the vacation of the second, third and fourth amended/continued emergency orders of protection. All costs were also dismissed.     David Hamil of Woods County District 1 made a motion for the county to sell two 1982 small dump trucks to the city of Alva for $3,000 each. After the other commissioners approved the agenda item, Hamil explained the county was no longer using the trucks and the city was interested. Not much interest was shown for the fair board election.     City candidates generated a flurry of activity at the Woods County Election Board on the final day of filing Wednesday, Feb. 8. Several races have developed and at least one filing has been contested. Freedom Shad Brackin was the only person filing for Ward 3 on the town board in Freedom.     NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Police say a man suspected of killing his estranged wife and her divorce attorney in Norman has been found dead in neighboring Pottawatomie County.     OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Two men suspected of wounding a homeless man and slaying a homeless woman in southeast Oklahoma City last year have been arrested.
