Ken Jones teaches history for Burlington School. He has been teaching for over 41 years. Jones is from Hugoton, Kansas, and went to college at Panhandle State University. He received his masters degree from Southwestern. Jones chose Burlington because it has really good people and it is a small school. His favorite part about teaching is when the students "get it." Burlington eighth graders Hope Olson and Tyler Hill recently received notice that they are winners chosen by Alfalfa Electric Cooperative (AEC) to attend Youth Power Energy Camp this summer. They will be attending Energy Camp at Red Rock Canyon in Hinton May 31st through June 3. To be selected, students filled out an application answering questions about themselves and their interests. Burlington High School has the privilege this semester of welcoming student teacher Noble Buckhaults. He is teaching history with Ken Jones to junior high and high school students. Buckhaults grew up in Buffalo, where he also graduated high school.
