On Feb. 10, Burlington hosted a local science fair. Nineteen students from elementary to high school entered science projects. The students conducted experiments and displayed their results on a board and gave a presentation to judges from Northwestern Oklahoma State University (NWOSU). Kaci was born in Enid, and is the daughter of Shelly Hughes. She has seven siblings, four sisters and three brothers. This is Kaci's first year at Burlington High School. During the second nine weeks, Burlington Schools began to renovate the restrooms for the junior high and high school students. Friday, Nov. 11, Burlington Schools held a Veterans Day program for the community. The band and choir had been practicing for a few weeks. The band accompanied the students singing the "Star Spangled Banner" and played "God Bless America." The elementary students also provided musical entertainment.
